Who knew that one day we won’t be even able to hug each other freely? Because of this current pandemic situation, our country has come up with an app called “Aarogya Setu”. In a short time, the Aarogya Setu app has been downloaded by 100 million users.
What is Aarogya Setu app?
Aarogya setu app is developed by national informatics centre, government of India for our own health care and safety purpose. This is a tracking app which actually with the help of Bluetooth and GPS system tracks if you really have been in contact with corona affected person within the reach of six feet.
This app is available in 11 languages, can easily be downloaded from the play store. This app asks for details like your name, your travel history and if you have been in contact with any affected person.
Also, the central government has made it compulsory for their officials to come up to office only(after lockdown) if the app shows safe/low risk otherwise will remain on leave on that day. In recent news, the government has made it compulsory to download this app for those travelling via trains and given passes only if the app shows colour green .
It is also expected that this will be made mandatory for passengers who will fly by plane and their travel tickets will be permitted on that basis only.
