While reading the heading, 3 new startup ideas must have been born, in that second only! Not only this, but India also stands at 77th position in the category of easiest to start a business in. Currently, India is at 3rd position for the highest number of startups in the world.
The rising tensions between China and India might affect the working of rising businesses and startups because of a major investment from China. Companies like OYO, Lenovo, Ola, Paytm, Big basket have Chinese investors and might face problems raising capital from them in the future.
The counter-argument raised on this is, it’s nearly impossible to boycott all these startups because of the dependency we have built on all these platforms and people may even start to forget this and continue with their normal life with the time being. In this, only rising startups will suffer as they have the option to go for other investors but that’s not the case with big businesses because of the involvement of huge funds in them, and backing out at this point is near to impossible.
But, now with all that is going on, the sentiments and emotions have been hurt due to which the Chinese investors will invest out of India and that would be completely our loss! By this, because of no investment in the startups, employment opportunities would decline for us only!
We all are aware of the position of our economy right now, if all this continues in the future then our economy might fall rather than going up and it’s us in the end who will have to suffer!
On the fun side, even the paracetamol has Chinese investors, so, in case of a headache, we won’t be able to take that too! xD
So, don’t get carried away from what you see on the internet and make your choices wisely!
