Some people are just radiating positivity all the time. Their mere presence has the ability and the potential to light up a room! Their positivity can be contagious and nothing can bring them down, not even Monday blues! Even the mention of Monday blues can give some of us blues! Well, have you ever wondered how can someone always be so positive? Worry not, you have come to the right place! You can also be that ray of sunshine, just keep reading!

Positivity is a choice!

Yes, you read that right. Positivity is a choice. Life throws some really curvy balls at us. It could be career-related issues, issues with a loved one, or just the stress of life that could make us negative and grumpy. However, we should understand that we ourselves are responsible for being positive. Just like we choose how to dress, how to go about our day each morning, we should actively choose to be positive. So go ahead and make positivity a part of your daily routine!

Count your blessings

Count your blessings, name them one by one and it will surprise what the Lord has done! These lyrics are absolutely true! Whenever you feel like nothing more could go wrong, count your blessings. Negativity can affect us adversely and can block our vision in order to see any good. In such times, we should keep our cool and count all the good that has ever happened to us. The good things will enable us to see how much we have and can bring positivity in the most difficult times. 

Company matters

Your friends, family, colleagues, classmates everyone has an effect on you and your positivity as well. The more you are surrounded by negative people the more negative you are likely to be. Yes, positivity comes from within but surrounding yourself with positive people will always uplift your mood and will help you stay positive no matter what!

Stop and think

In stressful situations, it is highly possible to lose perspective. That is exactly when you ask your mind to STOP and THINK! When our mind is stressed it is very easy to make a mountain out of a molehill. It is necessary to take a moment to understand what the problem is and how you can overcome it. In my experience, if we stop stressing and really think optimistically we’ll find that the problem isn’t that big at all!

Exercise

Exercise, exercise and then exercise some more! When you exercise your body releases chemicals such as dopamine and endorphins. You not only end up feeling good but also feel less stressed and anxious. Additionally, exercise has proven to help think better, focus and help increase productivity. Exercise also helps you to stay fit so you can actually kill two birds with one stone! Go hit the gym or dance your heart out!

Listen to ‘em tunes!

Music is a therapy and I am sure no one can disagree with this statement. There is something about music that can uplift you and just put you in the right mood. It could be pop, hip hop, EDM, Sufi or regional music. No matter the genre of the music, it will always bring positivity. So go blast some music and let positivity consume you!

These are some ways that can help you stay positive. However, one must remember that being positive is a lifestyle. It will take time for it to become a part of your routine. So what are you waiting for? Go be that ray of sunshine and radiate positivity all over!
